Emily graduated with a joint honours degree in Law and German Law from the University of Aberdeen in 2018.

Prior to becoming trainee, Emily was a legal secretary in immigration law firms for 3 years. Upon finishing her diploma in Legal Practice at Strathclyde University she began her traineeship at Latta & Co in 2021.

During her studies, Emily volunteered at Victim Support for 2 years, providing emotional and psychological support for victims of crimes. She also spent 4 months volunteering in a refugee camp in Greece in 2017 which is where her passion for immigration and asylum began.

Emily has a keen interest in immigration and asylum, and has also been undertaking work regarding criminal injuries compensation and obtaining damages for unlawful detention. She has experience in the First-Tier Tribunal, as well as instructing counsel and involvement in Upper Tribunal cases. She is committed to providing the best possible service to her clients and ensuring the best possible outcomes.
