Jennifer Cowan graduated from Strathclyde University in 2007 with an Upper Second Class Honours Degree in Scots Law. She completed her Diploma in legal Practice at the Glasgow Graduate School of Law in 2008.

Jennifer joined Latta & Co in November 2013 bringing a wealth of experience of asylum, immigration and human rights law. She appears regularly at the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal representing clients with their asylum and immigration matters.

Jennifer has a keen interest in asylum law assisting some of the most vulnerable in society during this complex process but also in naturalization and victims of human trafficking. She is experienced in Judicial Review cases challenging decisions of the Home Office at the Court of Session.

Jennifer is a member of Scottish Young Lawyers Association and Scottish Immigration Law Practitioners Association and is an Associate Solicitor within Latta & Co Solicitors.

In her spare time Jennifer enjoys painting, photography, music, watching rugby and socialising with friends and family.
